Jordana Brewster Biography

Jordana Brewster was born on April 26, 1980 in Panama City, Panama. She is the daughter of Alden Brewster and Maria Joao Leal de Sousa who was a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model from Brazil. Her parents decided to move from Panama when Jordana was only two months old. They moved to London to provide young Jordana with every opportunity possible. However, after only 6 months, they decided to move back to her mother native Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

At the age of 10, Jordana decided to move away from the tropics of south America to a more fast pace, concrete jungle; New York, New York. She spent the next 15 years there, while studying at Convent of the Sacred Heart. She eventually graduated from the Professional Children’s School in New York. Jordana wanted to continue studying, and decided to enroll at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut because her paternal grandfather, Kingman Brewster, Jr. was the president of Yale University from 1963-1977.

It wasn’t until 1995 that this young actress started to shine. Jordana Brewster landed her acting debut on the soap opera, “All My Children”, where she played Anita Santos. From then on, she has returned to other daytime TV shows such as “As the World Turns”, and has also landed some Hollywood roles in feature films such as Mia Toretto in “The Fast and the Furious”, Lucy Diamond in “Angela Robinson’s 2005 film “D.E.B.S”, and the role of Chrissie in “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” (2006).

Her good looks attracted much attention from the media, and put her under the spot light numerous times. It wasn’t surprising that Stuff Magazine named her the 96th hottest woman in their “102 Sexiest Women in the World” in 2002. Evermore so, Maxim magazine ranked her 54th sexiest women in their annual “Hot 100”. She also ranked in for 8th place at afterellen.com’s 100 hottest women list.

Jordana has had quite the personal life as well. She has been spotted dating other actor/sport stars including Mark Wahlberg, Derek Jeter, Jay Penske, and Mark McGrath. It wasn’t until recently that she tied the knot with her husband Andrew Form, who was a producer for “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning”. They got engaged on November 4, 2006 and married at a private ceremony in the Bahamas on May 6, 2007.

This hot, young actress has not hung up her career yet. Currently, she is working on the show called “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” where she is playing the role of Jane Smith, formerly played by Angelina Jolie.
